Terms and Conditions
By booking accommodation (Pod or Pods) you agree to abide by Glendalough Glamping Ltd Terms and Conditions and Site Rules.
Booking Confirmation and Payments
Full payment will be debited from your credit card or debit card at time of booking through our website or via the phone.
Payments are only refundable or transferrable with a minimum of 2 weeks notice. If you wish to cancel your reservation please contact info@glendaloughglamping.ie
Please note that a credit card is required on arrival for a €100 pre-authorisation security deposit. If you wish you can also use a debit card, however most banks take 1-3 weeks to release this pre-authorisation back to you.
Payments for accommodation with Glendalough Glamping carry no processing fee.
Conditions of Booking
We only accept bookings from families or couples. We do not cater for large groups of party goers, or hens/stags. We would ask that you keep noise levels to a minimum after 11pm out of respect for other guests. We reserve the right to refuse access or terminate the booking of any guest(s) whose party make-up or behaviour interferes or may interfere with the general comfort/respect of other guests. In this event no refunds will be made.
Payment
Payment on arrival at the Glamping site can only be made by cash, debit card or credit card. All prices are quoted in Euro.
No Shows
If no notification is given, and the customer has not made contact on the arrival date, Glendalough Glamping will not refund the payment in this instance
Arrival/Departure
On arrival, all visitors are to report to reception. Check is from 3 p.m. Checkout time on the day of departure is by 11 am. No refunds will be given for departing nights early.
Accommodation
All linen is provided including duvets, pillows, sheets, towels etc.
Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Pods, on the Pod decking or near window/door openings. We do not allow pets inside our Pods or the surrounding areas of the Pods.
You must use your Pod and its contents with care and leave it in a clean and tidy condition on departure. We reserve the right to charge you for any extra cleaning, missing items or damage. We reserve the right to enter your Pod at any time for any reasonable purpose, for example, to make checks, maintenance work or housekeeping. Your occupation is not exclusive.
The members of your party and the allocation of guests in each Pod must remain the same for the whole of your stay.
The maximum number of guests in each Pod (as stated on our website) must not be exceeded. If it is, we may move those additional persons to another Pod and will charge you or them the appropriate full charge for the additional Pod, from the date your party arrived.
Pets
Glendalough Glamping does not cater for pets
Extended Stays
If you wish to extend your stay, then please check with reception as soon as possible or check online. Extensions can be arranged subject to availability and potential relocation, however there is no guarantee that Pods can be extended beyond the dates originally booked.
BBQs
Lighting of BBQs are only permitted in designated areas. Please speak to reception regarding these areas. BBQs must supervised by an adult at all times and disposed of properly. BBQs used in undesignated areas will incur the loss of security deposit plus any damage caused. Charcoal is not provided but may be purchased from reception.
Children
Glendalough Glamping is an adult only destination and does not cater for children.
Care of those unable to look after themselves
You should ensure that all members of your party who are unable to look after themselves are at all times fully supervised by a capable adult member of your party and if appropriate, medication is brought with you for their needs and can be properly administered. Each such person should be able to communicate their name and accommodation type and number, or must carry some means of identification at all times.
Rules and Regulations
All customers/visitors must check-in at reception on arrival
- Checkout time on day of departure is by 11 a.m.
- Please keep noise levels to a minimum after 11pm out of respect for other guests.
- No campfires are permitted anywhere.
- Radios/televisions/instruments/speakers must be used in such a way as to avoid disturbing others
- Access codes to the gates are only for those who are staying onsite
- Anyone causing disturbances on site will be evicted with no refund given
- Do not enter or attempt to use any facility that is closed.
- Fireworks, Chinese lanterns and water balloons are strictly prohibited at all times.
- BBQs are permitted in designated areas only. No disposable BBQs allowed on-site.
Care of Your Possessions
It is your responsibility to look after and care for your possessions, valuables (i.e. watches, jewelry, photographic equipment, credit cards, etc.) and money whilst on holiday with us. You should not leave these items unattended in your accommodation or anywhere else around the site. To reduce the possibility of upset caused by loss or damage, we suggest you do not bring valuable possessions on holiday unless absolutely necessary. We recommend that you be comprehensively insured. In case of any loss, please contact reception in the first instance. Return of any lost property will incur a charge for postage and packing. We do not accept any liability for loss or damage to your possessions.
Changes To Your Booking by Us
Glendalough Glamping Ltd. cannot accept responsibility or compensation for circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) natural disasters, industrial disputes, fire, technical problems, bad weather, acts of government, etc. Glendalough Glamping Ltd. will use all reasonable endeavors to ensure that it is open for use by visitors during normal opening hours. However, Glendalough Glamping Ltd. reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to close the site/Pods or any part of it. In the event of such closure, Glendalough Glamping Ltd. will refund any customer the cost of his/her payments for accommodation.
Availability and Use of Facilities
Kitchen Facilities: Use of the kitchen is permitted between the hours or 7am – 7pm Monday to Sunday.
Shower/ Toilet Facilities: Open 24/7
Laundry Facilities: Available on request
Dangerous Items
No shotgun, knife, firearm, air weapon, archery equipment, fireworks (including sparklers), Chinese lanterns, illegal substances or similar item may be brought onto our site under any circumstances by you or anyone in your party.
Compensation Payable By You
By booking you agree that we have the right either during or after your stay to recover from you, whether via the credit/charge or debit card used to pay for the break or otherwise, the costs of:
- Any property or accommodation damage, and/or
- Any compensation we may pay to others, and/or
- Any other costs, fees or levies which we may incur, resulting from your action or inaction and from any breach of this agreement.
Behaviour and Compliance with this Agreement
You are responsible for the behaviour of all members of your party.
Behaviour should be in keeping with the family environment and should not be excessive, noisy or disruptive, especially at night. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the police being involved. Offensive or aggressive behaviour or language towards our staff is not acceptable. We may ask you and/or any member of your party to leave immediately if your conduct results in police attendance or is considered by us to be inappropriate; likely to cause harm; or impair the enjoyment, comfort or safety of anyone; or is likely, in our belief, to breach any of this agreement. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances and we reserve the right not to accept any future bookings from you or any member of your party.
General/Liability
All vehicle’s are parked at owner’s risk. The management accept no liability for loss or damage while on the park or otherwise.
Anyone found vandalizing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property of the site faces immediate eviction and/or prosecution. The person who booked will be responsible for all charges for all damage/breakages/loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the site facilities or other customers’ property.
Glendalough Glamping Ltd. reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry on to or remove from its premises or the vicinity any person who:
- Has been convicted of a criminal offence
- Has behaved in a manner or is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors
- Has used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes of behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of peace
- Is though to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances
- Is staying on the site for any other use apart from holiday use
Fire
The fire assembly point for the site will be pointed out by a member of staff at check in.
Data Protection

Important Information
This agreement and any dispute between us will be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish Law. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland over any matter arising out of our agreement or your visit. We must both act reasonably in selecting or agreeing any jurisdiction including any forum for dispute resolution.
Your stay will not give rise to any tenancy agreement between us.
Should any part of our agreement be deemed by law to be void, the remainder of this agreement will, if capable, continue in full force and effect. The headings in this agreement are included for convenience only and shall not affect its interpretation or construction.
In all cases, except personal injury or death, our liability to you for the total of all claims arising out of your break with us is limited to the cost of your booking less cancellation, amendment or separate charges. We will not be responsible for any matters that result from any unforeseeable events that are beyond our control.
